Hanging on to it, have been for a long time in the network, but not sure for how much longer now... I've always like the idea, but looks like the commercial alternatives have taken over the traveling and sharing your home.

Many cities in Brazil are really cool if you like music, movies, nightlife, lying on the beach or just walking around on a hot day. However, it is a developing country and everything, so don't think you're in Germany and go walking around alone at night (if it's a big city) as if it was Berlin, nor count on good public transportation everywhere.
Even so, if you'd like to go to Brasil (that's how we spell it) just make sure you know where you're going and you should be fine - plus people are pretty receptive there.
