About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find my way in life making people happy on the way with my food, ranting and blabbing :-)

ABOUT ME

Funny and easy going with a deep willing to learn and to please. That is probably why I am a scientist and a cook (a little bit artist or designer too). I like to meet new people, the adrenaline of the discover is always welcome; that's my drug I might say.
Hard to find words to put in here, if you have any idea let me know! ;-)

PHILOSOPHY

"Never say never" &
"Those who are in love with practice without knowledge are like the sailor who gets into a ship without rudder or compass and who never can be certain whether he is going. Practice must always be founded on sound theory..." Leonardo Da Vinci

Music, Movies, and Books

I LOVE the whole Inspector Montalbano Tv-Series as well as the original Camilleri's books. Such a touching portrait of my Sicily, I get emotional each time I even think at them.
I watch a lot of food series, the more there is to learn the better. Movies, it depends on the mood I am opened to almost anything (though I am not much into the demential kind of humor like Mr. Bean for instance).
Music idem, I love oldies and happy music. Pieces with a hard beat really pierce my heart and get me into the right mood (as fireworks do too).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, it takes a while to get me awestruck but I guess all these moments were linked either to art or food.
The first (and second, and third...) visit to the Louvre did struck a blow to my mind so much so that I keep on returning.
Food wise I had excellent experiences in Les Cocottes restaurant in Paris but I will never remember that buttery smooth piece of pike I had once in London.
But the supreme foodgasmic experience has been the first time I tried Pierre Hermé bonbons aux chocolat: divine!! That guy is a pure genius on flavors!

Teach, Learn, Share

What can I share? My love for food and science with a pinch of creativity; a great combo for inventive cooking and happiness (check my photos or blog for some examples, just google RecipeTaster).
