Overview
About Me
I'm a kind, "go with the flow" kind of person.
I've lived in NYC for work for a number of years, have also lived in Portland, OR, Seattle AS, Chicago, IL and Naples, FL in my life. I even spent 3 months, during one summer, living on a converted school bus with a bunch of my friends producing dance and music events in random special areas up and down the West Coach a few years ago.
I'm especially good at making brownies, apple pie crisp and cookies. I will be very happy to share food, cook for you.
Laugh, adventure and exploring the culture and architecture of the places I visit are some of my favorite things to do.
I spent 12 years performing Off-Broadway.
The last few years I've been working for Peaceful Stone Lights helping to create sanctuaries of peace and light for individuals thru stone (Peacefulstonelights.com).
When not doing that I work with kids and adults speak and teach on skills for communication, listening, and how to recognize and establish healthy boundaries.
The best answer a friend gave me when asked to describe me "Red, you are like a great cup of tea, an adventure, a shot of whiskey, finishing with a gorgeous sunset and jump into a cool lake..." I can live with that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My friends have been travelling around the world meeting amazing new friends via Couchsurfing. There is something really wonderful about meeting locals and making new friends by sharing space with someone. It also allows for travel to be affordable, and it's been fun to do.
And the friendships I make are what are my favorite part about traveling.
There are many new good friends that I have in my life because I couchsurfed with them.

Sharing - a favorite quote
"This is the true joy in life: The being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one. The being a force of nature, instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community, and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die - for the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no “brief candle” to me; it is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations."
- George Bernard Shaw
