Overview
About Me
I'm a Scottish Mancunian with the urge to see the world, all of it. When I travel I mostly want to wander around the places, see as much of it as possible possible and get a real sense of it. I love food and coffee. Melbourne kindly turned me into a coffee snob so my mornings when visiting somewhere tend to start with making my way to a good coffee shop. I love trying new places to eat and don't know how I'd enjoy traveling without happy cow.
I work for a national health charity and a big part of my job is training the volunteers who run our peer support groups. It means I get to meet loads of our lovely volunteers whilst seeing lots of the UK, which I love.
I love to keep active. Taekwondo is a big part of my life and I enjoy cycling, yoga, going to the gym, body weight training and taking the chance to try something different. I love to cook, not just because it leads to eating, and have recently discovered the joys of baking bread
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've always sort of known people who are involved in couchsurfing so eventually I ended up at an event. I hosted a few people when I was able. My next flatmates were active on here and we hosted quite a few people and parties. Along the way, i discovered a community that welcome everyone and met some interesting people, what's not to love?
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not much of a reader, it's a dyslexic thing. But I've recently discovered audiobook and I'm much more into non-fiction, mostly politics and sociology related
My music default is putting Kerang radio on.
I watch more TV than movies. Orange is the New Black, Greys Anatomy, Brooklyn 9-9, Orphan Black, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmit
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
That odd moment in Greece where I was young enough to genuinely not have a care in the world and old enough to appreciate it.
