About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to live in the present

ABOUT ME

I'm a 34-year old currently living in Berlin. I previously worked as a French and German teacher in Ireland. I lived in France for four years, in Rennes and Nantes, working as a translator and English teacher.

PHILOSOPHY

Focusing on what is really important and becoming more positive on a daily basis are things I am extremely interested in. I believe that small things can be extremely powerful, such as a smile or a song.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I attend local CS meetings on a more or less regular basis.
I spread the word about CouchSurfing!
I surf couches.
I host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A few years ago I lived in Nantes, France in a shared flat and my flatmate was on Couchsurfing. We hosted people from different countries - Brazil, Germany, USA, Australia, and more. I really enjoyed the experience, so when I moved to Rennes, I decided to join CS myself.
I hosted three people in Rennes - Sandra from La Rochelle (France), Roisin from Kerry (Ireland) and Andres from Colombia.
I also stayed with Anouk in Montreal for 3 nights in September 2008, with Ian for one night in his place near Nantes in May 2010 and Jojo and Becks in Berlin for 1 night in August 2010. I also stayed with Carlota in Palma, Majorca for 2 nights in October 2011.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Flying to Canada and Australia by myself to spend time with my siblings in their respective host countries. Couchsurfing for the first time, in Montreal.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you an Irish prayer ;)
I can show you around Dublin and make you a good meal.
I could also teach you some card tricks and play a tune on the flute. I'm also bilingual, so if you're an English speaker, I can teach you some French, or if you're French and staying in my place, you can learn some English with me :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food and good times!
