ABOUT ME

I have a lot of interests and like to keep life exciting!

My passion right now is flying paragliders! I quit my job as an aerospace engineer in December and I have been traveling to fly ever since! I enjoy many other outdoor activities as well!

I love spontaneous trips! My latest was a weekend in Chamonix i planned in 10 minutes and just went!

I really enjoy philosophical conversation: an uncommon but great pass-time when en route to an adventure but also worthwhile for its own sake.

Can't always go full speed though. When I need to chill I really enjoy long walks at night, especially by the ocean, or explorations into the woods. There's something special and almost sacred about being close to nature.

So far, I've had an amazing experience as a couchsurfer! I hope to be a host sometime soon as well.

Interests

I am equally at home on the ski slopes, in an art museum, in a rockin' club, on a quiet lake, hanging 50feet in the air by a single ice axe, in the grand canyon, at the opera, in a DIY machine shop, or under sail taking on huge waves in a gale!
I love outdoorsy things: rock climbing, hiking, camping, sailing!
I love music and dancing: I play classical violin and celtic fiddle. I'm also a ballroom dancer (Standard and latin), but am a total sucker for just rocking out in a club! I think I do my best dancing sober though.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like nearly all types of music. Some people only say that but i really mean it! My deepest appreciation is for classical music, but recently I've been into celtic rock, techo, psychedelic, folk, pop, and many other genres.

Movies: Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean are two great go-to's!

Climbed 5 14,000ft peaks in 1 day!

I can share or teach my experiences in engineering and my travel stories!
