ABOUT ME

I really enjoy meeting other people, and getting outside of the city. I love to travel around with a bag on my back and no real itinerary, while in good company.

I've been living in Berlin with my partner for almost the last year, and have absolutely fallen in love with this fantastic and unique city. We are returning home to Canada soon, and are hoping to check out a few more places in Germany before we go (hopefully by bike).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did some couchsurfing through this website with a friend of mine several years ago, and it was such a great experience. The details of the times I've stayed at a couchsurfing hosts home stand out in my memory so much clearer than any time I've stayed at a hotel or something! It's a great way to make a trip more fun and memorable.

I'm moving back to Canada soon, and then it'll be my turn to offer my couch to some surfers!

Learning words in different languages, petting dogs and cats, reading interesting articles on Reddit, cold water swimming, eating pancakes, human evolution and the evolution of language, sitting in saunas, environment, nature, visiting cool bars, campfires, camping, the ocean, learning cool facts about space, etc...

I like music, books, and movies from all different genres. A great movie I just saw was Get Out. The album I've listened to the most times on Spotify is 'Philharmonics' by Agnes Obel.

I can share my life story, starting with the day I was born: It was a warm, drizzly Saturday afternoon in late June, in a small town in British Columbia. The parking lot pavement outside St. Mary's hospital was sweating out that muggy summer rain smell as my soon-to-be parents searched anxiously for a spot to leave their little old Honda.
