ABOUT ME

I really enjoy meeting other people, and getting outside of the city. I love to travel around with a bag on my back and no real itinerary, while in good company.

I've been living in Berlin with my partner for almost the last year, and have absolutely fallen in love with this fantastic and unique city. We are returning home to Canada soon, and are hoping to check out a few more places in Germany before we go (hopefully by bike).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did some couchsurfing through this website with a friend of mine several years ago, and it was such a great experience. The details of the times I've stayed at a couchsurfing hosts home stand out in my memory so much clearer than any time I've stayed at a hotel or something! It's a great way to make a trip more fun and memorable.

I'm moving back to Canada soon, and then it'll be my turn to offer my couch to some surfers!

Interests

Learning words in different languages, petting dogs and cats, reading interesting articles on Reddit, cold water swimming, eating pancakes, human evolution and the evolution of language, sitting in saunas, environment, nature, visiting cool bars, campfires, camping, the ocean, learning cool facts about space, etc...

Music, Movies, and Books

I like music, books, and movies from all different genres. A great movie I just saw was Get Out. The album I've listened to the most times on Spotify is 'Philharmonics' by Agnes Obel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent last Christmas Eve getting drunk in a hot tub in rural Norway while the Northern Lights blazed across the sky overhead - it was amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can give you reviews of a variety of sunscreen products that I've tried (I'm something of a fanatic about sunscreen). My boyfriend David is really into computers, and likes to make his own video games. One of my previous CS hosts taught my friend and I a few techniques fromThai massage, which was pretty cool.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my life story, starting with the day I was born: It was a warm, drizzly Saturday afternoon in late June, in a small town in British Columbia. The parking lot pavement outside St. Mary's hospital was sweating out that muggy summer rain smell as my soon-to-be parents searched anxiously for a spot to leave their little old Honda. A bird jumped out of the way of the tire as -

Myself and my partner are both tidy and respectful people who love to share drinks and conversation with new people. We would be delighted to stay with you for a night during our travels if you'll have us.
