PHILOSOPHY

I am trying to be as open minded as possible.
Almost always it works, but sometimes I´m kind of blocked. Dependent on my daily mood. Nice people, some good music, sports and beautiful weather can turn me around!
My actual state of mind tells me that my future is unwritten. I can reach the goals I set for myself.
Couch surfing is one of the essential steps into a future full of diversity.
Discipline is a very important part of life. Without a day can become spent daydreaming too quickly...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first act of participating was kind of passive: a trip through Japan during the christmas-winter-holidays between dec. 19th and january 04th by the 青春十八切符. A great inexpensice way of travelling Japan by all JR-local trains.
I got out of Tokyo and traveled west. Explored the countryside. Met people and families, who taught me the true way of Japanese living. Celebrated New Year´s traditionally Japanese! Met friends and together we enjoyed delicious food, was taken to local sightseeing spots.

I just had an awesome time. The two most exciting weeks of my whole life so far. Learned and experienced sooooo much! Gotta do this again. In Japan. In March 2012!

Interests

languages:
currently I do my best to improve my Japanese. I love this language, the writing and the Japanese culture knowledge needed to understand it. Will be in Tokyo for two weeks to take an intensive class. I would like you to teach me casual Japanese in the evenings. I want the whole experience!

food:
Japanese food. Oh my god. Who can´t love it? I tried to eat different things every day. I only had six months to stay there, so I had to hurry.

sports:
without sports I´m not balanced. So I try to do something every day. Some running, basic workout, whatever, just to stay moving. My favourites are: windsurfing, skiing, snowboarding and beachvolleyball

conversations:
expanding my knowledge through different people living in different environments with a variety of cultural backgrounds should help me to understand myself.
