About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Writing my Rum Diaries

ABOUT ME

I've travelled through Europe as far as the Czech Republic, and spent over 6 years living in Canada. I've worked a ton of different jobs; picking up some useful skills - a seafood shack dishwasher, a million-dollar mansion gardener - along the way.

I'm a really laid-back, easy-going guy, whose philosophy is that life is there to be enjoyed; and that work is a means to an end, rather than the raison d'etre.

After Europe, University and Canada, I came home with a plan to raise some cash over about 6 months and then take off again. I found out about Couchsurfing on a trip to Belgium, and hosted my first surfer about two weeks later. Since then, I've surfed my way across the United States and met many kind souls.

I think. I drink. I listen. I talk. Sometimes, I wear my kilt (it's not a skirt; well, kind of).

PHILOSOPHY

"I feel a bit lightheaded, maybe you should drive"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've hosted many people in my hometown (Perth, Scotland) and enjoyed showing them around and getting to know them. After I left, I was able to stay with several people in the USA while I travelled up to Canada.

Now that I have my own place and some stability in my adopted city of Toronto, I'd be happy to host some new travellers.

What I Can Share with Hosts
