ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Nicolette. I am a fiery, passionate, loving lady. I try to be kind, understanding, and upbeat. I'm a work in progress. :) I'm clumsy, I love the eighties and will belt out a power ballad faster than you can say "Michael Bolton's hair".

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live thoughfully and kindly. I put a lot in to the relationships in my life, my family and friends come first. I also try to live well, minimizing waste, unnecassary spending and still try and enjoy life. I have to remind myself to do things for me, like take quiet time, or buy myself a gelato, because we all deserve to treat ourselves well, eh?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted and surfed all around the world. I started off surfing in Australia and then hosted a ton while living in Seattle. I don't get many requests in Sacramento and miss meeting cool people, so message me if you need a place to stay. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I can't imagine my life without the amazing CS experiences that have happened. I have loved hosting and the experience of meeting and helping new people. I have also loved surfing, saying yes to wild adventures with virtual strangers! I have had wonderful, zany, quirky hosts and they have made my travel experiences! I never would have been able to experience camping in the bush, authentic bars, genuine cultural experiences, and great people without cs.

Interests

I love losing myself in a good book. I love coffee and the feel of a mug in my hand. I enjoy and sing along to all kinds of music. I prefer hot yoga over regular and love to try new things. I love taking pictures, making scrapbooks, watching movies and generally embracing any child-like wonders in life (like Disneyland!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sunset beach camping in the australian bush and driving around the united states have been memorable. Seeing Wicked in London, exploring paris museums. There are so many great places to see!

Teach, Learn, Share

The older I get, the more I realize I can take away great lessons from all kinds of people. CS also makes me feel like "the more the merrier"! When my living room isn't cramped with backpacks and travel scarves I get a sad little pang. Couch surfing really helps bring people together and make my world feel a little less large and scary.
