About Me

*Update June 2018*
CURRENT MISSION
Be the change I want to see in the world =)

**My method of travel:
Volunteering for 2-8 weeks- focusing on enough time to make genuine connections with my host and the culture, then a couple weeks CouchSurfing and city hopping to my next volunteer position.

Few opportunities the site "workaway.com/ Couchsurfing" have given me..
-Au Pair (UK) ----Boat work (London) ----Redhead festival (Netherlands) ----Backpacking (Ireland) ----Charity work (UK) ----Snowboarding (French Alps) ----Yoga /Meditation retreat (Italy) ----Pub crawl leader (Croatia) ----Backpacked the Balkans ---- Horse Ranch/ Thai massage yoga retreat (Greece) ---- Rafting/ Kayaking hostel (Slovenia)---- Nudist colony (Thailand)---- Taught English (Vietnam)---- Yoga Retreat (Cambodia) --- Surf/yoga retreat (Portugal)

I genuinely enjoy helping people, that's why my travels revolve around volunteering. If you need help with anything I would rather we tackle the job together and grab a beer afterwards.

**** If you check my references Its more than likely if you leave me alone for any amount of time I will probably clean your kitchen and whatever else could use some tidying up

PHILOSOPHY

"Be as courteous towards a woman as you are your mother and give a stranger the respect reserved for your father, and the world will treat you like family.”

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel to a city it's the people that make that place what it is and make it different from any other part of the world. CS gives you the opportunity to see new parts of the world through the eyes of the people who make those places special. We all might come from different nationalities, each with our own unique story, but CS remind us that we are all just friends and neighbors that we haven't met yet.

***A critical part of "Traveling"is to find your own personal method to it.
---City hopping/ Vacationing/ Monument seeking/ Foodies/ Volunteering/ Living in a new area---
All are great resources but the reason I keep 'CS' on the top of my list is the opportunity I have to share and inspire my personal story with that of someone else's.

Interests

---Yoga, Running, Meditation, Writing--- all things that you might catch me doing at some point during the day.. It's important to me to keep up with my main hobbies in my ever changing environment.

-Especially when CouchSurfing I love the whole experience of ---Cooking dinner---
From Shopping at the local market - the time spent cooking- and cleaning after wards... It took me by surprise how the actual dining part of the experiences could be overshadowed by the fun of cooking together.

-Philosophy/ Psychology (Given the chance I love talking about the deeper more intuitive side of things)

  • yoga
  • running
  • meditation

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you read my references I'm sure you can tell I tend to clean things and wash dishes quite frequently haha but some of my favorite memories with previous host were when we hung out while we made dinner. Besides that I can offer my time and help; whether you have a project to finish or errands to run I genuinely like to help people (don't send me out alone to dig a hole but if your there with me I'll be digging as long as we have a shovel in hand).
