I'm Beka and I'm from Massachusetts. I've moved across country to San Francisco and now I'm in Texas currently. I majored in 3D art and am now working towards my engineering degree.

As cliche as it is to say, I want to make the world my backyard. I want to meet people and learn the local cultures of everywhere I visit. I've always believed experiences to be more worth your time, effort, and money than materialistic goods.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Friends introduced me to Couchsurfing and stated that it not only allowed them to travel across country, but also to meet some pretty amazing people and make some wonderful friends. I want to be part of this community that helps people travel, introduces them to local culture, and gives them experiences that they may not have been able to have without such a thing in place.

A friend and I are backpacking Europe from July 19th through September 3rd. We'll be traveling throughout the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Austria, and down into Greece.

Interests

Traveling, art, science, nature, hiking, outdoors, sports, food and I'm really up for anything in regards to activities as well.

Best thing about Couchsurfing is finding those spots and doing stuff that tourists won't know about. That hole in the wall restaurant, that one swimming hole, this awesome climbing place, those beautiful murals down that one street. I want to see the city from an insiders point of view.

Although I'm not a Texas Native, I've been here for a few years and know a lot of little places to go to that you won't find on google. I can teach you some interesting things about the area as well as other areas in the country. I'm also pretty rad at baking, so I can share some of that with you.
