Overview
About Me
My name is Reece Salmons, and I'm a 21 year old from San Diego, California. I love hiking and camping in the mountains, playing volleyball and swimming at the beach, and also being at the center of a blend of different cultural backgrounds in the city. I want to experience living all around the world, meeting people, learning languages, and seeing the earth's natural beauties too.
I just finished school at UCLA where I majored in Geography/Environmental studies and minored in Conservation Biology. I'm a big environmentalist and very sustainability-minded. This is also a time in my life where I've been more focused than ever on mindfulness, yoga, meditation, and philosophy.
My philosophy is to just go with the flow. I'm leaving with absolutely no plans and I'm more excited than ever. I'm up for literally anything, any adventure. I'm a respectful guest too!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I think this is such an awesome website that brings you face to face with the people of your host country and allows you the ability to connect with the people and culture in such a visceral way, which differs greatly from tourism where you stay in a hotel and experience the culture from an outsider's perspective.

Teach, Learn, Share

There's so much that I want to learn about when I'm traveling that it's hard to boil it down to a list. I want to learn new languages, and I find local history, tradition, and politics very exciting too. I also really want to become knowledgable on the plants and animals of each region I go.
Something I want to exchange are stories. I have lots of stories from school, festivals, and past travels and I would love to hear as many stories from other people as well
