Hi couchsurfers!
My name is Reece Waldron and I am currently based in Muscat. I am here for two months on a research placement for my thesis research. I study at Lund University in Southern Sweden, in Middle Eastern Studies.
While in Muscat I will be travelling most weekends (inshallah), especially to the UAE and hope to meet new and exciting people, share adventures and have fun.
Studying Middle Eastern Studies, my main interests revolve around all things Middle East - politics, culture, society, everything!
I am very social, easy going, and love an adventure. Also I am considerate and respectful and enjoy meeting new people!
Huge food person! So lets share a great conversation over some great food and great friends!
I love couch surfing due to its amazing ability to open my eyes and gain a real understanding to what life is like in that country.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
meet new friends, learn about new places, see new things, and hopefully add the same for someone else.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing experience I have had was actually just this past summer, when I lived in Istanbul for two months, working at a Syrian Refugee community Centre.
The stories, the strength and the community feel i witnessed there is something I will always keep with me and i have learnt more in those two months than I have in my past 24 years.
What I Can Share with Hosts
