A Californian living in London...
I work as a journalist and write about human rights issues in the U.S. and abroad.

While I was a student in California, I packed off to Moscow one summer and spent two months exploring Russia and taking the train out to Mongolia. I had an incredible time all thanks to the generous hospitality and friendship of couchsurfers. Now I live full time in New York and host on and off until I can escape to travel again.

I work full time during the week, but I'm happy to hang out in the evenings and also on the weekends! Free time in New York for me means rock climbing in Brooklyn, gallery hoping in Chelsea, picnicking in Prospect Park or somewhere upstate, and biking around Manhattan. And of course meeting you all for drinks or dumplings.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I usually host and visit my friends, but in places where I have no friends yet, there's couchsurfing!

I think it’s the best way to explore a new place or country, to stay with the locals :))

When I can't host (all too often), I'm still happy to meet for a coffee or drink and enjoy all the meetings and CS events offered!
