Overview
About Me
When I was a kid I used to go to the library every day, reading books about nature and exploring different stones outside my house; I would also put together my own encyclopedias with hand-drawn pictures about dinosaurs, mushrooms, birds, etc. (and later on about Digimon). Then I discovered the arts - I started learning the piano, singing in choirs, taking dance lessons, and so on. Since the teaching of natural sciences in school was pretty boring, I decided to focus on humanities. Now I've reached the point where I'm rediscovering all the excitement that science can give you, watching one TED talk after another. With this curious mindset I'm looking forward to meeting new people and their ideas and, why not, having some interesting discussions over coffee or wine.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I haven't been very active on CS for the last 3 years, since I was busy with university studies, living in dormitories, etc. Now I've started a new phase in my life in another town and decided to catch up on CS.

Music, Movies, and Books
jazz, funk, reggae, rock, blues, pop, folk... well actually almost ALL kinds of music (in case it can really be named m u s i c, not just random extraterrestrial sounds accompanied by a male voice, saying "shake it, baby")
from books i've enjoyed the creation of dostojevski, remarque, balzac, huxley, hesse and other classics. i also enjoy non-fiction books about psychology, religions , cultures & languages, environment, history and so on. but most of all i love reading the poetry of doris kareva, but in case you're not estonian, you've probably never heard of her...
i always ask my foreign friends and acquintances for movie recommendations and thanks to them i've discovered some really touching pieces like "il postino", "kolya" and "elina", to name just a few of my favorites
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
if i started thinking about those "truly amazing" things that i've read in some other people's profiles, i would start to feel that my life is worthless. i've never done skydiving or scuba-diving in the ocean. neither have i witnessed a tornado with my own eyes. instead of that, i try to fill every day with amazing little details, trying to keep an open heart and to look at everything as i'd be seeing it for the first time in my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
for example, i've recently learned to make some origami figures :)
