I am 36 years old teacher from Espoo, Finland. I love sports and reading good books. I am a good company for any sports. I like swimming, kayaking, cycling and dancing (especially salsa and other couple dances). I like hiking and being in nature. I also love to meet new people and I am interested in different cultures and languages. I love to learn different languages. I also like discussions about politics, science, arts, society and almost anything:-) I love music and dance and I play guitar and little bit of piano.

I have attended as a instructor and volunteer worker for two international camps organised by CISV Finland. The camps were meant for young people and kids from all over the world. It was really exciting and interesting to meet people from South America, Asia and Middle East. I also have friends from many cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people from different cultures. I also love to learn new languages and see new interesting places. Many of my friends have recommended Couchsurfing for me. I would love to be a host for international guests from all over the world.

For the guests: I love to do sports so I know good swimming places, hiking and cycling routes and where to go to kayak in Helsinki metropolitan area. I also like to go walk and swim to islands by local transportation boats. It is cheap and easy:-)

My hometown Espoo is next to Helsinki. In Espoo there is a beautiful national park called Nuuksio, which I can show to visitors. I have lived in Helsinki metropolitan area around 25 years so I know nice shops, cafes, art museums and music and dance clubs. I love to dance so I can take visitors to a salsa party in Helsinki.

The best thing I have done was to choose a career of teacher. I like my job very much. I teach adults and kids.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love discussions and I like to go to a cafe, a restaurant or to a walk. I love to do sports so I am always interested to go to swim, kayak, hike, play beach volley or tennis or try a new sport or activity. I am an easygoing and social person but I also like to do things on my own. I am a quite flexible person and I can communicate quite easily with different people. At home I like to do sports and I also like to read books and just sit down on the beach and watch the sea and people.
