Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am looking at finding local hosts and travellers from all over the world to spend time with and hang out. I would love to contribute by sharing my experiences and having fun travelling with people with the same interests and morals :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is my first time trying CS and was recommended to use this by a friend who used it on his travels through Spain a few years ago ... So here I am; looking forward to meeting new people.

Interests

I like to be social and meet new people from around the world. I like to have good conversations about various subjects of interest. I think we can all learn from each other by getting different views and experiences :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music especially old school r&b. I also like soft rock and some commercial and new age "r&b".

I like to read; and my ideal book would be something like an autobiography (Malcolm x's being my all time fav!!), I also have and reallllly enjoyed reading books such as .... ready??? TWILIGHT (yes; I know but it was magnificant; you should too), and 50 shades of gray. I love Jodi Pocult books and I love to read about religion.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Parasailing in Hawaii!!! This was such a great experience and would love to do this again.

Visiting the 9/11 memorial in NYC - it was so surreal; both sad and daunting as well as a really humbling experience

Visiting the Grand Canyon in Las Vegas by Helicopter!!!

Helping out a homeless shelter voluntarily which was a real eye opener and makes you realise just how lucky we are. It was a great feeling knowing you have helped people and given them an ear to talk to which most people don't give the opportunity to do.

Completing a Mothers day charity walk in Sydney, Australia. This was such a great and fun experience and it was all for a good cause. We raised a lot of money for the research for a cure for Breast cancer; which is close to the heart. Very satisfying.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to be able to teach some of the Australian or Turkish culture. How to speak it and the cultures.

I would love to learn about the culture and languages of the different cities of around the world; in particular the Spanish and Italian languages :)

I want to learn how to play the Piano as it has always been one of the instruments I have always loved and wanted to learn. It is so beautiful and relaxing (when learnt properly that is haha)

I can teach you how to make Turkish coffee and scam some traditional Turkish Cypriot recipes from my mothers cook book ;) haha
