About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet couch-minded people.
ABOUT ME
Like many Americans, I never had the opportunity to venture outside of my country until I was in my 20's. After one semester studying abroad at Oxford, I got the travel bug- and I got it bad. Since then I have lived and worked in three countries and traveled to as many as an intern salary will allow. I just returned to America for my first big-girl job but I don't want the traveling or the happenstance people-meeting to end!
PHILOSOPHY
"Kindred spirits are not so scarce as I used to think. It's splendid to find out there are so many of them in the world."
- L.M. Montgomery
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I don't currently have a couch but I know plenty of people willing to help host :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Traveled to Krakow with a German friend living in Poland and stayed with the best hosts imaginable. The bar is high now, hosters.
Interests
Books. Of all kinds. Stationery/postcards/journals. American football (sorry, haven't jumped on the soccer bandwagon with the rest of the world... unless it's the World Cup). Sightseeing. Stories. Desserts, desserts, ice cream. Whiskey on ice. Mispronouncing foreign languages. Shit-talking before playing billiards. Karaoke.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: The Breakfast Club. Pulp Fiction. Back to the Future (trilogy, man). Love Actually. Anything based on historical events.
Music: Ohmygawd I listed to American Country music... and old school rock. But I dance to hip hop.
Books: Lord of the Flies. Harry Potters (but especially the 4th one). Terror in the East. The Realm of Possibility. I read a LOT- it's hard to narrow it down.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Accidentally went scuba diving with hammerhead sharks (then- it was terrifying; now- it's a good story).
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm good at most sports, but particularly those involving a net (minus soccer).
I'm really good at knowing Greek wine.
I can plan with the best of them.
I want to learn how to drive a manual.
New ways of cooking.
And I would love to be able to play a mandolin.
