Overview
About Me
American expat abroad. Full-time stand-up comedian living in Vienna.
Former music student (classical guitar/composition/musicology)
I'm a bit introverted, but people don't usually believe me when I say that
I like to chat and laugh and joke, but I also like deeper conversations
I'm interested in languages
It's always fun to tell and hear interesting new stories
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's an interesting way of acclimating yourself to a new city, giving you more of a perspective of a local instead of just seeing it as a tourist.
It's a nice way of connecting with different people around the world.
I think it's interesting to meet people who like traveling but have stories other than the same old thing you hear at hostels.
And of course, it drastically reduces the cost of travel :)
Interests
I studied classical guitar for my Bachelor and study music
I love comedy and people who have a good sense of humor
And I like new experiences and interesting situations
- traveling
- socializing
- music
- guitar
- languages
Music, Movies, and Books
It's hard to say. I'm not really a "favorites" kind of guy, but I like stories that have realistic writing and interesting plots. If it has that going for it, I'm in!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Stories are always more interesting when told in person ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach aspects of any language that I know or I could give pointers for guitar or music theory. Or I could share my perspective or answer questions about the US--as so many travelers tend to ask :P
What I Can Share with Hosts
A sense of humor, stories, and an interesting perspective
