About Me

I'm a college graduate with a BA in Human Development, who decided to follow her brother on a bike ride across the country only after he offered to pay for most of the expense. I have held different jobs, ranging from retail cashier to correctional officer to EMT.
I come from a large family so feasting is a priority!! I have five sisters and three brothers. All reside in Southern California. Proud aunt of one niece and three nephews... I know, with more siblings, you'd anticipate more than four.
I'm sarcastic and humorous (can you imagine the odds of that?).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I began using this app after my friend suggested it during my bicycle trip. It was a grand experience to meet new people during the trip and continue to stay in touch after the fact.
The concept of surfing and hosting further reminds me that it can be safe to travel and be in some sense of security in the unknown.

Interests

Anything spontaneous! I have no reason to say no to anything unless I'm strongly against it.
I'm a recreational person, I enjoy hiking, riding my bike, beaches, long walks to no where, long drives (absolute favorite) and all others that I cannot think of at the moment.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really have a specific music genre... I enjoy listening to Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Bone Thugs n Harmony, Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, Boys to Men, Skrillex, Avicii, Taylor Swift, The Beatles... And the list does go on!
I love to read! Currently reading Catch 22!
I can watch movies for hours, especially if it comes highly recommended.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My bicycle trip across the southern US with two of my brothers. West coast meet east coast!! Trip took approximately 5 months, Dec 2014-May 2015. Started from our home in California and ended in Lowell, MA.
