About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Taking on the world one country at a time!
ABOUT ME
So when exactly did it occur to me? While walking along the Great Wall of China, or trekking through Thailand with my trusted friend, Dumbo? Perhaps, while enjoying a Weiss beer (or two or three) along with thousands of other World Cup fans in Munich, Germany. Or maybe still, it was realized under the blanket of stars swathing the Australian outback. Point is, I cannot say exactly when it occurred to me but I certainly came to the realization that there is more to life then what can be experienced in Omaha, NE.
Along the way, I've managed to acquire a love for adventure. Whether its skydiving in New Zealand, bungee jumping in Switzerland, white water rafting in Malaysia, scuba diving with Great White Sharks in South Africa, or Running with the Bulls in Pamplona, I am always up for a thrill.
After living the first 20 years of my life under the umbrella of, what I should do, I've spent the last 10, discovering what I want and love to do and that is travel. Travel for the sake of traveling. To gain new insights, perceptions and appreciations for different cultures and discover lifes riches along the way.
There is an invisible mold that has formed around society. Go to school, get a job, get married, have kids and retire comfortably. This mold, however, doesn't leave much room for travel and has spawned the recurring statement, I wish I would have traveled when I could have. Life is too short to live with regrets. Don't doubt for a second that you can't or shouldn't do something. Follow your passions and everything else will fall into place.
PHILOSOPHY
"We are all destined to leave this earth but I for one do not want to leave without ever discovering it."

Music, Movies, and Books
I usually fall asleep half way through movies, I listen to music from all over the world and I love to read, but mainly when I'm on the road.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve been pummeled by tomatoes at Spain’s “La Tomatina” Festival, dyed hot pink during India’s, “Holi”, Festival, climbed to Everest Base Camp, waded through an active mud volcano in Colombia, taught English in a Peruvian slum, swam with alligators in Bolivia, surfed (or attempted to surf) the gigantic swells of southern Australia, had a snowball fight on the Great Wall of China, rafted the largest commercial waterfall in the world, rode around India on a ’66 Royal Enfield motorcycle, pelted braised chicken legs at Bolivian Chalita’s wrestlers, cliff jumped naked in Greece (umm…a few times), struggled through a 56-hour bus ride through South America’s remote countryside, played with baby Orangutans in Borneo, burned a whole in my leg motor biking in Vietnam, eaten guinea pig (cuy) in Peru, sparrow head in ‘Nam, bugs in Thailand, and scuba dove with sharks off the coast of the famed Komodo Island. And that’s just the tip of my dicey traveling iceberg.
