Overview
About Me
I have been married to Martin, since 2013.
We live together in the countryside north of Aarhus in Denmark.
We also love to travel together.
We are both introvert people, but still interested to meet new people. We just need our alone time every day. :)
We both go to church and practise our beliefs in God's love.
Martin, 32 years old, is a passionated bird watcher. He is a gardener by profession, but is seeking to make it a job to communicate nature at nature centres or be a freelance nature guide.
Regina, 23 years old, iscreative and really loves to write, and has just finished her first manuscript, a collection of short stories in the genre of magic realism/surrealism with a stick of horror.
Beside her writing and daydreaming, she studies at a Aarhus University 'Culture, Christianity, Communication'. But that's a sensible choice, she says. She would rather just write and make a living from that.
She also works as a mentor for kids and young people and helps with their homework.
Together we have project called 'God in Nature', where we want to show where we see God's presence in nature in all the seasons.
We do that with our own photographs and with texts put together in an illustrative nature book, that showcases both the knowledgable texts about nature (Martin's part) and the spiritual texts (Regina).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We think it's a wonderful way to visit a country. It can be expensive and sometimes impersonal to just stay at hotels, etc. And CS is a great way to get in depth with the country you're visiting. You might get friends around the world that way.
Regina says, that she doesn't believe in borders, and CS is taking part in uniting the world's population to one people! She loves that idea: one people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Martin loves heavy metal, especially doom metal and hardcore.
He likes gory horror movies, but also other movies and can watch everything Regina shows him. American Beauty and Into the Wild.
His favorite books are those where he can learn about nature, animal life and the birds, of course.
Regina met Martin on a stage to a heavy metal concert (Everytime I Die), but she more likes Rammstein, Devin Townsend, metal core.
She likes to watch movie classics and learn about world culture that way. She loves animation movies (Hayao Miyazaki!), Tree of Life, Edward Scissorhands, Eternal Sunshine..., Tarantino (Dead Proof), the Great Gatsby (2013), Disney's Alice in Wonderland, all categories, really.
At the moment she love-loves Neil Gaiman and read everything she can get her hands on. The Ocean was magic. Gillian Flynn is cool, too. Do you have any suggestions in these genres, perhaps with a tad more surrealism in it ? I would love to hear about it.
She likes Paulo Coelho, English children's books (like Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Peter Rabbit, Wind in the Willows...) Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Oscar Wilde...........
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Regina: Finished my manuscript and moving to the countryside, and marrying my best friend.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Martin and I would love to stay with you, to go into depth with the country we're visiting.
We are both quite calm, and love to relax. We'll be good to just relax with you.
We're polite, and aware of giving you the space you need, because you're opening your home to us.
We can practise English with you, if you like.
We share interests and experiences from where we're from.
We can cook for you, if you will let us, so we could make the days we stay with you easier.
If you want, we could go for a hike, we could pray or meditate together.
