I'm struggling to balance my capitalistic responsibilities and societal norms with my undeniable desire to be free and travel the world.

PHILOSOPHY

...never settle! and always live life to the fullest! I don't want to look back at my life twenty years from now disappointed that I missed out. Life is like a big science fair project. We have to learn what doesn't work before we can understand and appreciate what does work. A life lived in fear really isn't a life worth living.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Unfortunately my couchsurfing experience is limited to Europe.

Interessi

I like to read and learn. I am a social scientist by trade ;o) I enjoy people watching. I find human interaction fascinating. sometimes I like to find patterns and trends in day to day life and interactions.

I like to go out and dance. I like all different types of music. I love watching choreographed dancing. The tango is soo beautiful! I also enjoy a good beer. Texas brews some pretty good live oaks. I also love sipping on a cold margarita, although pisco is definitely my favorite.

I like to frequent ferias. I love artesanal crafts.

I love admiring architecture and beautiful views. I often take too many pictures. I think it would be awesome to be a professional photographer.

I heart desserts..icecream, popcicles, cakes, cookies, candy...I love it all.

I like the idea of traveling. I've only been outside the U.S. a couple times but i would like to travel much much more!

Musica, film e libri

Movies: I like all kinds of movies. It really depends on my mood. I own a lot of romantic comedies and stupid humor movies because I think those can be watched over and over. I also enjoy movies that engage the mind with surprise endings. I don't watch scary movies more than once. Once you know the ending of a scary movie it's pretty much ruined.

Music: I like all kinds. Most of the time I really don't know the name of the song or the artist. So that makes it difficult. Lately I've been listening to the same songs in Spanish over and over again so that I feel special when I understand the lyrics. Blink 182 and American HiFi were some of my favorite bands growing up. I'm also guilty of liking pop music. In short I think my musical taste is very random...but I'm always open to suggestions

books: I like to read fiction books that take place in lands far far away. For some reason I'm bored by books that take place in the U.S.
