About Me
Hi! I'm Regine and I live in the heart of the Philippines— Manila— you got it. Yeah, that one with insane traffic and awesome hole-in-the-walls if you know where to go. ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I love meeting new faces, people from different cultures, adventurous human beings, what else. I believe Couchsurfing is the best way to meet nice, welcoming people and people willing to explore with you with arms wide open!!
Interests
I like checking out and trying new things, be it activities, places, food!
I always enjoy meeting new people, having one-on-one conversations, and getting to know their lives and views about stuff.
I love to dance like crazy, over good techno or house. Any music would still suffice tho!
I like big bustling cities just as much as I like quiet, quirky towns. I continue to enhance my surf skill, so I really love heading out to beaches with surf breaks.
I like doing yoga, watching films, and hanging out at nice coffee shops.

Music, Movies, and Books
Hmm... music: techno, house, funk, jazz, experimental, afrobeat, new wave, lots of oldies. So many! Films: it changes all the time, but some of my fave include Before Sunrise, Kasal (a Filipino film), Chungking Express. My favorite books are Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera and Barbarian Days by William Finnegan.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Catching waves, riding ’em long! I’ve been surfing on-off for three years now and have weak arms, so being able to catch a good wave is a huge achievement for me lol!
I can now do headstands, yay!
Jumping off a 15-meter (49-foot) cliff, that is too much for me. For some reason I suffered from severe back pain afterward, the lifeguards had to carry me. I took a rest for a bit and by nighttime partied with a stiff back!
Teach, Learn, Share
I will gladly take you around Manila if you ever drop by. :)
