About Me
ABOUT ME
I travelled from China to the UK via India and the Stans, on a motorbike in 2010 and enjoyed plenty of CouchSurfing experiences.
I try to be open minded but hold on to some principles. I believe most people want the same basic things, expressed in different ways. Respect, tolerance and understanding for your fellow human will get you through most challenges.
I think it's great there are people out there who just give, without knowing about and without expecting anything in return from their fellow human.
I don't like hotels as there are few chances to learn from others - hence Couch Surfing.
PHILOSOPHY
I try not to look at the sky from the bottom of a well

Mechanical things, history, motorbikes, whisky, people's opinions.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A very solitary voyage up the Karakorum Highway (KKH) between North West Frontier Province Pakistan and Xinjiang China. A frontier road in the best times, a landslide rendered the KKH impassable, leaving just me and the bike on the road.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach people about epic trip preparation!
Generally, I hope that I can just relate my experiences, and people can learn whatever they can from those.
"A great teacher never strives to explain her vision: she simply invites you to stand beside her and see for yourself."
