About Me

I'm an Oregon farm-raised guy looking to expand my horizons, always eager to try new things, meet new people, eat new foods, speak new languages, and live my life wild and free.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on CouchSurfing to meet interesting people and form life-lasting relationships. I also aspire to be much better-travelled and can't think of a more enjoyable way to see the world than with locals who know their environments inside and out.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lately I've been bouncing back and forth between reggae and classic rock. I'll listen to bands like Ballyhoo!, Sublime, and Stick Figure all day, interspersed with a little Led Zeppelin and AC/DC to name just a couple.

I love science-fiction movies and I'm a super huge fan of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. Groot is my favorite character.

I haven't been reading much lately since my time has mainly been concentrated on work and various projects. That said, my favorite genre is self help with an emphasis on finance. Currently my favorite author is Jim Rohn; I find many of his insights to be very actionable in my daily life. I recently purchased the audio version of The Alchemist which I'm pretty stoked about playing in my car to soundtrack my commute. Also, I used to read plenty of classics so I have a soft spot for older books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first international trip was to Beijing where I was invited to eat a fish's eye (apparently it's a Chinese delicacy). It was by far the scariest and most unusual food I've ever tried. I don't need to try it a second time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not sure I have much to teach on the subject of couchsurfing but I know a thing or two about air travel since I worked as a Delta Air Lines flight attendant for about 2 years.

There's so much I want to learn about nearly everything. For instance, I recently changed up my diet for health reasons and turned vegan so I'm excited to delve into the culinary culture of new destinations.

If accepted as a guest or as a host I'd be thrilled to share the meals I create in the kitchen...some of my meals are quite exotic!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My ever-evolving cooking skills, stories about flight attending and my adventures as a Boy Scout in Oregon, my excellent organizational skills used to transform spaces in exchange for a couch under a roof
