About Me
I am from the UK, now living in Istanbul! I work in the humanitarian field and previously lived in Jordan (studying abroad) and Serbia, where I worked in an aid project supporting people-on-the-move close to the Hungarian border. I am now working in Turkey and have been in Istanbul since Jan 2021.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I always try and get a local perspective on where I travel, and also like to share my area with visitors! I have been in Istanbul for almost 6 months now so know enough cool places to hang out.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite books are The Secret History by Donna Tartt, 100 Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez and Moth Smoke by Mohsin Hamid. I love music and going to concerts, and always try to experience some live music wherever I travel.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Solo backpacked around Central Asia at the age of 20 - travelled through Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan by train, marshrutka, shared taxi, hitchhiking and even horse riding! Went trekking in the Kyrgyz mountains and camped out during a blizzard on top of the Ala Kul pass.
