About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Have genuine connections and build genuine friendships with as many people as I can! Life's too short and it's so very empty without relationships. Also, I am a man of MANY goals, and I'm chasing them all with 110,000% of my heart.

ABOUT ME

I absolutely love meeting new people and trying new things. Some experiences do intimidate me, but I always try to step up to the plate and give new things a shot. I love helping people, and I recently got into nursing school! I'm also a former restaurant server and am looking at getting back into the serving world while I go to nursing school. I completely respect anyone's beliefs and try to break down walls and stereotypes by loving on people of any background. Got a brain and a pulse? Then I would sincerely love to get to know you and what makes you tick, what makes you wake up in the morning and push hard against the tough realities of daily life.

PHILOSOPHY
I never like to burn bridges, and I sincerely try to respect every person I come across. Anybody who knows me well will tell you that I am always smiling. Life is too short to wear a frown all day long. I am truly one of the most passionate people you'll ever meet, as I'm absolutely in love with my life dreams and not afraid to fall on my face daily as I know one day I'll reach them all, and while I don't push this passion onto others, I am ecstatic when others ask me to help them in some way to reach their life passions as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My girlfriend and I are new to the Portland area, and we're just trying to get to know Portland and its people through CS! Hitting the tourist traps or highly-rated restaurants on Yelp is great and all, but nothing beats getting the inside scoop by hanging out with real locals, with the huge added benefits of being able to build friendships as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had some unofficial CouchSurfing experiences, and my favorites are those that allow me to thank my host(s) somehow, either via doing dishes for them, cooking, or helping in some other way. If you let us stay at your place for any length of time, know that we will quickly be found doing some work around your place to express our gratitude. :)

Interests

I am absolutely obsessed with four things in life: 1) building relationships with others, 2) travel, 3) medicine / health (my career field), and 4) fitness!

  • traveling
  • outdoor activities

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have organized and led 1500+ people to do large flash mobs (social experiments) on multiple occasions.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share how to communicate with people, and how to be confident in interpersonal skills in general. I can teach leadership qualities, and how to smile even when you're having a bad day. I can show you how to radically change peoples' misconceptions about you into something very positive, as well as show you a new way to look at a life situation of yours that you are so sure is hopeless. Even if I fall on my face 100 times, I get back up. I can show you how to do the same.

I would like to learn more about working on cars! I feel like I can fix so many other things in my life myself, but when my car falls apart, I have nothing I can do but take it to the mechanic.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Effort! My girlfriend and I (we travel together) can help cook, clean -- whatever! -- to make this a more enjoyable experience for you too!
