CURRENT MISSION
To enjoy the journey
ABOUT ME
I have just moved back to my hometown of Kenora after a 2.5 year stint in the lovely little town of Sioux Lookout.
I have had the enjoyment and good fortune to travel to many overseas locations and to even have lived in a couple, so I know what it's like to seek out the support of friendly people in places that are unfamiliar.
I am in LOVE with Couch Surfing because it enables me to meet people during my travels who are wonderfully interesting, kind and like-minded and who can also help to teach me things about the area that I'm traveling in. I have found Couch Surfing to be one of the most incredibly positive travel experiences that I've ever had. I absolutely can not wait to do it again.
I have a bachelors degree in English and Theatre studies from the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada and am very interested in potentially exploring a career that focuses on using the arts for healing and social change. I have just begun my journey into the 'real' working world after years of school and travelling, so we'll see where I go from here.
PHILOSOPHY

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I did couch surfing when I was travelling in Japan in 2010. It was INCREDIBLE! Hugely positive experiences with a wonderful Israeli man named Indie in Kyoto who showed me around the city and who also made me some wonderfully delicious meals... and another experiences with a Japanese man in Takayama who was very kind and generous.
I have also hosted various surfers in different locations. My last surfer was a lovely woman named Aricia from Belgium - a midwife who was visiting Sioux Lookout for a medical conference.
Intereses
Fairly easy going. Love music, literature, outdoor activities such as camping hiking biking and swimming, animals (especially dogs), food food food!/cooking, movies, musical theatre/performances, exploring the world and learning many, many new things. Community art and wellness is a huge interest of mine. Loving life and meeting interesting people who will share those passions and who don't mind bunking up to cut down on travel costs and who make traveling even more fun!

Algo increíble que he hecho
I have seen some very amazing and incredible things in my lifetime, I must say. I have been very, very blessed to be able to do some of them including: walking the Great Wall of China, eating tons of Kimchi in South Korea, kayaking and road tripping in Papua New Guinea with my Dad, sleeping in a hilltribe village in Vietnam, visiting Angkor Watt in Cambodia, exploring the Pyramids and riding a camel in Egypt, visiting the monks temples in Meteora in Greece, constructing an elementary school in Ecuador and riding a bullet train (the fastest in the world) all over Japan.
