I'm a very mellow, optimistic person, love a good laugh and good conversations. I am really easy going, I love outdoor activities and to be in the nature.
I could also add that I 'm a trailrunner, rock and tree climber and a mushroom grower.

Interests

I've always liked to read and learn about a myriad of things! It's a blessing and a curse to have so many interests with so little time available in this life.

Language learning is something I have dappled into from time to time (I should be more consistent..). I speak Dutch and English fluently, but I always wanted to be proficient at more languages. Currently I am learning French and modern Greek.

I've spent years of my live learning about farming techniques, ecology and natural history.
I am also very active (partly professional) in mycelium/mushroom farming.

My newest hobby is turning trees into lumber on a very small scale. This is one the many manifestations of my long lasting interest in self sufficient living.

Since about 8 years I've also put a big emphasis on my physical skills (long distance trail running, rock- and tree climbing). Since 2023 I've even picked up cycling! Preferably on gravel roads.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read mainly theoretical books about science, nature, crafts and so on.
Long time ago I did a bachelor in Visual arts. During that time I was obsessed with cinema, literature and the arts. This has completely turned. Nowadays I don't even enjoy watching or reading fiction anymore.
If I do watch something it's Youtube (edu-tainment) or an outdoor documentary.
Music-wise I love many genres, mostly folk from all regions of the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Attending the 9-day boom festival, 2012 (Portugal) and a 160km hiking trail in Iceland in 2015 are among the more memorable things I've done
