About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live. Love. Laugh.
ABOUT ME
Living in London since 2010, with a year's break in Australia, I'm figuring out how to be an adult.
I love reading. Other cultural activities, especially seeing great plays at every imaginable theatre and listening to pop music are things I tend to enjoy as well. Outdoor activities such as kayaking and diving is great fun, and I never say no to a day or two of skiing in the winter.
PHILOSOPHY
If you can dream it, you can do it.
Consequences are determined not by excuses, but by actions.
Lev livet så att du blir vän med döden (Live life so that you befriend Death).

Music, Movies, and Books
John Steinbeck is one of my favourite authors, especially "East of Eden". Charles Dickens plays around with the English language and describes characters well. Michael Ende is absolutely amazing, I just wish he had had the time to write more books before he died. Colleen McCullough writes easy-reads but with some more depth to it than your regular Nora Roberts or Jean Auel, which is nice. As a kid, I loved Narnia, and I grew up with Harry Potter ... Swedish authors/playwriters Jonas Gardell and Jonas Hassen Khemiri are both GREAT. Shit, I almost forgot "The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde. Love it. I read most things I encounter, and enjoy the majority of it.
As for movies, anything with Johnny Depp goes down quite well :P I rarely watch movies because I tend to prefer books, but I like Amélie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? and The Shawshank Redemption a lot.
Music ... give me pop, and I'm happy! Many Swedish artists, the most famous one probably Roxette. Also Håkan Hellström, Jakob Hellman, Sandy Mouche, Hello Saferide, Säkert, Per Gessle, Helena Josefsson, Cornelis Vreeswijk, Christoffer Lundquist and many more.
International artists such as Tracy Bonham, The Mamas and the Papas, Tracy Chapman, The Monkees and many others.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had six very special months crewing S/Y Keturah from Solomon Islands through the isolated atolls of Micronesia to the Philippines in 2008. I lost count on the dolphins, turtles, sharks, reef fish, sunny days, squalls, nights on watch, beautiful islands, wonderful people and absolutely amazing experiences I got.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a Teaching English as a Foreign Language certificate, so if you want to practise English, I'd love to help out. I can play the piano a bit and know heaps of gospel songs despite not being religious ... I studied Natural Sciences and Zoology in high school, so I tend to know many interesting but not very important facts about nature and animals.
