We stay on Naxos/Kiklades, Greece.

We stay near Vilnius, Lithuania now until end of August. Then we will travel via Poland, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria back to Greece and finally to Naxos. If anybody would host us on this way, we would be happy. Please drop me a short message. Thanks.

ABOUT ME

2014-11 till now Naxos
2014-08 On tour to Baltic States
2014-02 we are living in a village near Chora
2013-08 settled down on Naxos. We hope to host even there when everthing is arranged in the new flat.
2013-06 Starting on June,10 we are on the way to Italy, Albania, Greece (Naxos in the end). We hope to find a couch or more on our way. We are happy that we found three CSs until now. But we would like to find more :-)

2013-04-09 We left La Palma today, forever. If you would like to visite or just meet us: have a look where we are in the moment. Within the next weeks near Stuttgart...

There is not much to say: Retired, living a normal life, reading a lot, open for new people, politics, science, talking about nearly everything in and about the real world (that means: not about TV, celebrities...). Religions and esoterism are not our special field. I find computers are a real enhancement for our brain and every day life. We live part of our life in the internet (friends, news etc.), but Facebook & Co. are not center of our life...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When travelling we are looking for CS places. Not for having a couch but first and foremost to meet local people. Every hotel has a bed. On the other hand: Come here, be our guest! But please be aware that we are living a normal life. We are not a hotel. We want not just host you, we want to get to know you. So, if you are invited we are waiting for you! If you are not able to come then tell us so! Otherwise we will note that in our judgement. There are a lot of requests over the year and again: we are living our normal life...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CS experience when travelling in Poland, Czechia, Albania, Italy, Finland and Greece. Most trials to surf were negative, most/many times we did not find a couch; the way we are travelling is obviously not really CS-compatible :-) :: Nevertheless: Friends we found and that came to La Palma we cherished a lot until now (2016-04).

2010 we tried to meet CSs on our 2-months AroundEurope2010 tour. We were riding by car for more than 12.000 km. But is was not possible to meet CSs. They did not answer, did not have time or were not in place. Or did no longer live there (means they did not update their profile). We were really disappointed...

2011 we were lucky in Italy und Greece for the 1st time...

2012 we were driving a 20.000 km trip RoundEurope (to north of Scandinavia, then down to Greece): found new friends, once even a couch.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Travelling through all European countries, from Canary Islands in the west to Russia and Turkey in the east, from North Cape down to the Greek Island. Ok., Green- and Iceland, Malta and some others are still missing in our list...

Lehren, lernen, teilen

All those people I can discuss and talk more with than »thanks« and »hello« and that we have a nice island here. Young & old. Male or female...
We like to give you one or the other advice. But traveling needs preparation first. Come with the knowledge that our place is not any place in the world. And that the Kykladic Islands all have their special name.
