About Me

CURRENT MISSION
I'm traveling through Mexico, working on a farm here and there via WWOOF, in my spare time I'm working on my foundation which I hope to launch in 3 months! In the first 2 weeks I would like to learn Spanish, if you know a good course in Mexico City pleas let me know!! Next to working on the farm and on my foundation I will discover the beauties of Mexico! Please let me know what is worth visiting!

ABOUT ME
I'm an open and easy going person always open to talk about a lot of various topics, and always ready to help. I'm dreaming of a world where everyone can live in peace, a more equal world; peace, money, food. I'm a very creative person full of ideas always making new plans and ideas to hopefully making the word a better place.

I worked in the event industry as an builder but also as the coordinator who worked out the plans to make the event more sustainable. During the event I made sure everything went as planned. After that I worked for an NGO where we tested concepts from start-ups at festivals, I was the producer, the link between the start-ups and the festival.

I like to go on adventures - drunk and sober - climb a construction building, canoe at night, or enter a abandoned building. Check out my IG for some urban exploring pictures and the world through my eyes; @groenebaas_

PHILOSOPHY
Don`t go the same way back.....

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
If I find a house in The Netherlands(there is a housing crisis here) when I'm back I will definitely accept people over to my place. In the last years I just didn't had the space....

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first couchesurf experience is already a long time ago! I cycled from Veendam to Milan(2012), I only slept in a hostel twice and had a really good experience with a lot of hosts always ready to help and show their city.

Interests

I have to many interest and it hard to choose which one I really want to focus on, haha. But by knowing a little from all of them I create ideas by putting them all together. Most of the ideas stay ideas and end up in my idea book. I hope some day I will work some out.

I started indoor climbing when I was really young, in the time I was studying I didn't really climb a lot. Since a few years bouldering is very popular in The Netherlands and there for a lot of bouldering area's are opening, bouldering replaced climbing since you can do that on you own and its very relaxed, always a puzzle to solve.

I also like my Discover Weekly when its good I save it, you can find them on Spotify; rnttiggelaar

MOVIES
I have not watch a lot of movies.... I really liked Breaking Bad and have just finished the new episodes of Dexter. Oww and MR. Robot is I think the best I have seen. For movies I really like based on true stories one's. The Big Short, The Founder and Lion are really good.

BOOKS
Books..... yeah... I'm not really areading person but I liked Joe Speedboot a lot! I don't know if its available in English but it's about this guy who calls him self Joe Speedboot who becomes friend with a guy in a wheelchair they do a lot of crazy stuff, they even build a plane and fly with it! I do bring a E-reader on my trip, I heard that it's good to plan which books you want to read and reserve some time for it every day. First 15 minutes and then more and more.
