About Me

Hi pleased to meet you!

I'm Reiss :)

So where do I start?? I'm currently living in Manchester, England having remaine there after completing my studies and am loving every moment of it.

However, I feel I have been in Manchester for a wee but too long and want to spread my wings and meet new friends while I travel.. and couchsurfing seem the ideal way to do that.

I currently work at Ziferblat, Manchester.. A kinda halfway house between a cafe and a hostel, a generally great space for me to work and get to know different people coming through every day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here since I plan to go to mainland Europe on my first travel venture very soon. I am visiting the following countries: Holland, Germany, Czech, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. Since I am visiting so many countries along the way I would love to get to know local people (or people that know the area very well!). Couchsurfing provides me the perfect means in which to stay and explore any area I want :)

Interests

I am a man of simple tastes my interests fall into a few (but very passionate) categories.

Music - I am a DJ/Musician in Manchester I am resident at Allotment bar every Friday in Manchester's Northern Quarter and I produce my own music. I am especially fond of Funk/ 80's Groove, Techno and Post-Punk music. I hope to explore the music scene of any city that I have the privilege of visiting!

Traveling/ Foreign Culture - I am really interested in knowing more about cultures that aren't my own, I believe that getting to know about the morals, custom and point of view of different people make me more open-minded and interesting. I am especially a fan of eastern culture whether it's Chinese or Persian. Traveling and reading is by far the best ways I can acquire knowledge about people.

Making new friends/ Chilling - I love meeting nice people and maintaining a relaxed attitude towards life. Life is too short to be stressed and angry. I look forward to meeting new strangers that will, on day, become my dearest friends.
