About Me
Hi,
I heard a lot about Couchsurfing and about this amazing community. As a female traveler I was sceptic at the beginning to join. Luckily, all my friends and google confirmed that it’s fun, safe and gives you lifetime friendships. Now, that we are starting to live in a post pandemic world; able to travel again I’m excited to be part of this community, meet with people all around the world.
I’m Hungarian from Slovakia. Currently I live in the U.S. as part of a cultural exchange program; soon as an international student.
I was always fascinated by different cultures, nations, heritages, foods, arts and crafts, history…etc. That’s why I studied cultural sciences. While I was attending at the university part time; I was working as a sales and events manager at professional dance theater in Slovakia. Yes, dance, mainly traditional folklore dances from Carpathian basin is my biggest passion. I dance 20+ years. Hungarian folklore, traditional music, traveling, festivals, getting know different places and people was always part of my life. After couple of years of office work I realized, it’s time to change and explore. My biggest mantra since then: “Everything is happening outside of your comfort zone. “ So I applied for an exchange program, ended up in the U.S. as an Au pair.
Currently I’m taking care of kids. Teaching, leading kids is my new and other passion. I love to see the world through their brighten eyes. Gives me strength and sometimes nerves as well. But being a big kid is awesome!
I have bunch of other hobbies. I’m the person who is extroverted introvert and always interested in many things. I love to listen others and have deep conversations. Life teaches us.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Now, that the world start to reopen, more people get vaccinated, I’m happy to travel and explore again. I love to meet with people from different cultures. Talk with them and share my culture. Other reason is, that I love to explore the cities, places from the view of local people. I love and always search for the hidden places, favorite spots of a local, not just the super expensive touristy ones. I think Couchsurfing is the platform what can give you both: get to know new people and explore the destinations as a local.
