Overview
About Me
I am a travel enthusiastic mum who wants her kid to experience the diverse world we live in and meet people from all walks of life! I'm fascinated by different cultures, different views of the world and life itself, different ways of living and being and generally interesting people.
I am a Hungarian by descent, grew up in Germany and have been living in Ireland for six years before spending some time travelling, 7 months in Malaysia and a year in London. Now I'm back home for a little while until I decide where to go next! I have family in the UK, Germany, Hungary, Austria and France. My son's Dad is from Nigeria so we're truly a multicultural family!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because it is a great way to meet local people and really immerse yourself into the culture of a place and get a feel for what it may be like to live there. I'm not interested in the everyday touristy stuff and don't fancy staying at hotels or hostels where all I get to know is basic tourism culture but I would like to know the real world out there - and staying with local people is the best way to learn about a place and hear about hidden gems off the major tourist sites.
I am looking to meet people from all walks of life. I am interested in getting to know individuals and learning about how people are living in all corners of the world.
Interests
Going new places, meeting new people and trying new things. This is what life is all about!
Meeting people with all kind of different characters! I am also very interested in learning about different cultures and different ways of living; travelling of course, photography, writing, DIY and upcycling, baking, cooking and - very important - playing board and card games!

Music, Movies, and Books
There are too many good ones out there to tie myself down to just a few. There is amazing stuff in many genres!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Volunteering for an adult institution and children's orphanage for people with special needs in Belarus and getting to know the substandard (or in other words: inhumane) conditions for people in 'non-Western' countries.
Travelling without knowing where I'll be the next week. Awesome!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a qualified English and German as a foreign language teacher (both Irish and German qualifications) - but I am also very happy to share anything else from my previous (travel) experience that may be of use to you. I am also an experienced cook and baker, mostly Western food and a bit of Asian as well, and I am more than happy to teach you!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can help out with anything needed in or around the house, I'd love to take your portrait or take pictures of your loved ones for you. I love cooking and baking and if you let me use your kitchen I'll promise to dish up something delicious!
