ABOUT ME

I'm a student currently living in Slovakia. I'm originally from Wales and English is my mother tongue. I'm a first time student, so haven't really settled down to the serious aspects of looking after myself, being responsible, studying regularly etc.

PHILOSOPHY

Why should you care what other people think about how you act or look? As long as you're comfortable with what you're doing and how you relate to people, then you should be fine.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only surfed once and not hosted yet but I've heard nothing but good (and great) things and I look forward to more experiences! I think it's an excellent idea and something that students especially can benefit from.

Interests

Books, games, anything nerdy or sci-fi related, the outdoors, knitting, scouts, sleeping and crazy/awesome things that people do and say on the internet.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll read most anything I can get my hands on. Especially the Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett.

Music is mostly lyricy stuff like Elbow, I'm not someone who needs to have music around me all the time, though I will sing and hum to myself a lot.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing in a food court in Singapore and realizing that I could eat almost anything I wanted for less than 5 dollars.
Standing in the twilight of Polar Night in Bodø, thinking "You know what, I love this place" - and having a sea eagle fly over at that exact moment.
Standing 15 metres away from 3 moose who completely ignored me.
I also once dropped a tin of about 2000kr in 1kr pieces on the floor; it burst open and they went absolutely everywhere.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can make decent popcorn and have a high retention level for bus time tables. I can also knit socks, hats, gloves and pretty much anything if I have the time. The first time you turn a heel on the sock is a magic moment indeed.
