About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Exploring Life, the Universe and Everything!
ABOUT ME
Easily amused, fairly amusing, and eternally curious. All in all, a really hoopy frood.
I'm a logophile, a geek, an animated conversationalist, a great listener, a budding hedonist, and usually brutally honest.
Pragmatic idealist. Lazy workaholic. Optimistic nihilist (and sometimes, a nihilistic optimist). Hyperbolic discounter. Mostly human. Just this guy, y'know?
I recently toppled a dictator, later moved across the world, and now spend quite a bit of time exploring the idiosyncrasies of American/Californian life. Most of which happened on Fridays.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: anything by Douglas Adams (especially The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy 'trilogy', Dirk Gently's Wholistic Detective Agency). The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera. Harry Potter. The couple of books I've read by Neil Gaiman (he's on top of my to-read list). Melancholia by Basil Fateen.
Music: Mostly rock-ish, including (in no particular order): Dream Theatre, System of a Down, Dave Matthews, Muse, Metallica, Godsmack. Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Tenacious D, The Blues Brothers, Monty Python, Flight of the Conchords, The Doors, the few songs Iv'e heard by Jefferson Airplane. Also, Daft Punk, for making a movie out of an album (Interstella 5555, with those smurf-coloured people you've been wondering about).
Many more. Some that I remember: The Life of Brian, Paul, Red, Law Abiding Citizen, Fight Club, movies by Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, et al), V For Vendetta, The Matrix.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Protested in Tahrir Square at the start of the Egyptian Revolution, Jan 2011; I spent a few nights there and survived a few near-death experiences.
