I used to teach sports on a primary school in Amsterdam before I packed my bag and decided to see a bit of the world.

I love to skateboard and there will be a 99% chance that you will see me arrive on a skateboard. I'm interested in everything (for real!) except for musicals and trains. Would it so happen that's your big passion: I'm great in diverting the topic in a polite way. 😉

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've heard people talk about couchsurfing for a long time but somehow I never signed up. After my travels in New Zealand I had to sell my car in Auckland. It was something I wasn't looking forward to because I knew from my previous visit that I didn't like that city much. So to spice things up and meet some people I decided to use Couchsurfing. And oh yeah, the 10 days I spent in Auckland are one of my fondest memories I have of my time in New Zealand. The city still sucks, but the people I met where absolutely amazing!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music. I listen to almost everything as long it's good (propably like everybody else in the world). But to name some bands I like: Radiohead, Black Sabbath, Neurosis, Beach House, Grizzly Bear, The Cure and while writing this I'm listening to The Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream.

I read everything but historical fiction and fantasy are my go-to genres. I've just put The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy away for the moment so I can fill in these forms on Couchsurfing.

I've sneaked my self in Madonna's movie premiere in New York when I was 17 years old. I met my youth hero there: Stifmeister.
