About Me

Hi I'm Ren. I moved from Washington DC to Barcelona in January. I only planned to stay until May, but loved it so much I got a job at a startup and don't plan to leave anytime soon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I have an extra room in my apartment and I would love to use it as an opportunity to meet new people.

Also, when visiting new countries, I would love to stay with a local and experience the culture better.

Interests

I love visiting new places, going to concerts (rock, electronic, and hiphop), reading (mainly scifi and books on entrepreneurship), and cooking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know if I would consider this amazing or stupid:

I moved to Barcelona in January with no plan or money, and managed not to starve to death. I found a full-time position at a startup and now am going to live here for the foreseeable future!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn, and when something catches my interest, I'll spend stupid amounts of time learning everything I can about it (until I get bored and move on to something else). So I feel like I know a decent amount about most things, and love to share that knowledge.

I can teach you how to speak Japanese, build a website, do mechanical engineering stuff (anyone?),

What I Can Share with Hosts
