Hello! We are Wren and Jon, a chill hippy type couple pretty much just on the pursuit of happiness :)

I (Wren) am 22, and am currently working in Starbucks, Jon is 29 and is a healthcare support worker. We're planning a month of adventuring through Europe in August, so we're hoping to make some couchsurfing friends along the way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love to travel and have always found that our best and most varied experiences having usually been when we've been thrown in at the deep end in a new cultural environment with new people.

We are sick to death of the humdrum day to day life that we've been enduring the last few years, and feel that we need a whole shake up in our lifestyle. We've decided that normality is not for us,and we're kicking starting our changes with our trip away. We are SO excited to get away from this life that we have always known, meet new amazing people, have new amazing experiences and generally just have our minds expanded in as many ways as possible.

ALSO!! THIS TRIP IS IN PARTIALLY IN CELEBRATION OF JON'S THIRTIETH REVOLUTION AROUND OUR GLORIOUS SUN!! So if anyone would like to join us in our moth long party, or suggest fun things to do or experience, then that would be awesome :) :) :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - We're quite eclectic in these areas! I listen to a lot of indie and Jon's more of a rocker, but we both really like drum and bass, psytrance, pretty much anything acoustic and some classical too.

Movies - I'm not much of a movie buff but Moulin Rouge is a solid favourite for me, while Jon loves all things Marvel.

Books - For me the list is endless. I will read everything and anything, but Alice in Wonderland and anything by Terry Pratchett are probably my go to books. Jon enjoys fantasy too, some comics and Game of Thrones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jon crowd surfed in an inflatable boat at a Kiss concert which was pretty awesome!! For me, spending a summer in Berlin was the most exciting thing I've done, I can't wait to return!!

Teach, Learn, Share

We do poi, so we would be very happy to tech our hosts some moves, and I'm sure Jon would be happy to share some of his chef knowledge! I do bits of painting as well so maybe so art skill sharing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

-Jon trained as a chef, so excellent cooking!
-I work as a barista, so great coffee!
-Reasonably handy round the house/happy to cook, clean, paint, generally be helpful
-Great conversation and an enthusiasm to make friends and discover new places :)
