PHILOSOPHY
The first thing that comes to mind is 'live and let live'. It speaks to me of being adventurous and following your instincts as well as being caring and considerate of others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been on couch surfing for a few years however have only surfed a handful of times. I have met up with everyone of my hosts again later down the track which has been a lot of fun and a nice testament to these new friendships. One of my cs highlights was staying with Ben in Ghent while I interned for a dance company. We found time to visit Ghent together, chat about our passions and life, party and also do our own thing.

Intereses

I love meeting people, dancing, exploring new places and everything artsy.
I work as an actor and also make my own theatre work (you can check it out on my website www.renaeshadler.com). I also teach dance and drama at local schools to children and adults.

Música, películas y libros

Books: I usually read for my projects so it depends on what I am working on at the time. Now I am super interested in the internet and algorithms so I often pull out 'The Formula' by Luke Dormhel.

Music: I love a good dance track. Often house music or R&B. I don't like anything too heavy.. just fun and upbeat.

Movies: A good documentary (Paris is Burning) and an old-school romantic comedy to relax after work (Dirty Dancing). Also now 'Black Mirror' is making me very excited, it's genius!

Algo increíble que he hecho

At the Adelaide Fringe Festival I was at the artist bar - an outdoor dance-floor and bar made out of shipping containers, retro caravans and old doors. I remember my body aching from dancing so hard and I was full of adrenaline after my show. I looked around to see all these people I had never met before all smiling and dancing together. It was beautiful - people are amazing!

I love to learn - anything and everything. As I performance maker I am fascinated by other people, places and things.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I can teach you how to salsa, share my vinyassa yoga practice or we could read Shakespeare sonnets and I could give you some voice/movement tips (I don't really know if I have got the whole acting thing sorted myself yet but we can play around together).

I can also cook an Aussie BBQ for you and make you smile!
