I am in love with knowing new places, learning the genuine life of a city/town. And knowing the details of a daily life in a city is learned best by a local and by shared moments. I like to travel a lot, and usually it is hard to find a company if you are always up to a new plan. I can travel alone, but I don't like to be alone all the time. Therefore, having a friend from the city you are visiting is the best opportunity to spend quality time, and to discover non-touristic places.
I don't like to go touristy places in the cities I live. This is why I would not take my friends or visitors to such places, but try to give them a genuine impression of the city. I would expect the same from my host if it is possible, that would please me the most.
Having a coffee, spending some time reading with a pastry, wandering around the streets, mostly getting lost, not knowing the time, taking photos, then when it's time to go night-out, going out are the plans of an ideal trip for me.. I do not expect much, rather create my own entertainent.
