About Me
I'm 25 years old and I was born and raised in Campinas, Sao Paulo - Brazil. I recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
I am passionate about life: learning new languages, experiencing new cultures, making friends and learn their story means the world to me. My very first international experience was in Italy, 2010. I wanted so bad to make new friends and talk to my "new family" that I learned a complete new language in two months. Italy's culture, language, art and people are amazing, which made me realize that I am always up for a travel and I would always invest on it without hesitate.
When I came back to Brazil, in 2011, I knew that I had to travel again, to a new place and learn a new language, a new culture. In 2012 I had a great opportunity: I applied to the Brazilian scholarship program Science without Borders and I was approved. My destination was Canada, and I had a challenge because since it was a governmental scholarship I had to take good grades and make reports. It turns out that I could perform pretty well and also enjoy Canada the most I could: I visited Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec, Montreal, Calgary, Banff, Vancouver. I could also visit some unforgettable destinations in USA as such as Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego and Las Vegas. I spent one year and half in Canada and during the length of my scholarship I studied English at Trent University, Manufacturing Engineering and Business courses at UOIT university and research/case study at Oshawa's Walk-in Clinic. Most importantly , my international experiences allowed me to make several international friends, develop my network and realize that travelling means everything to me! I really value kindness and politeness and that's why I always do my best to be really kind and friendly and I am not afraid at all to show love, attention and care! My purpose is life is to be a world citizen!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the Counchsurfing environment! I really appreciate being in a multicultural environment, making international friends and do the best I can in order to become their friends! That is the reason why I chose Canada in 2012 as my destination to study Industrial Engineering - I was granted a scholarship and I had some option and among them I chose Canada, due to it's multiculturalism.
