Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a real problem with tourist guides. They always tell me what I should see in 3 days and I don't want to rush from one monument to another museum. I want to discover the best places to see the sunset, where is the nicest book shop owner and what does it feel to live in there. I think that what makes a place is the people in there so I think that this is the best way to get to know them. To really get to know the city, not what they want me to know.
