About Me

CURRENT MISSION

be happy with the little things ...

ABOUT ME

I'm all about culture and arts - so I choose that to also be my profession - I am a cultural producer, currently working with contemporary dance/performance. I dig museums, art galeries, concerts, dance shows, movies, plays... I'm very espontaneuos. Less shy than I would like to be. Always smiling and ready for new experiences. I'm completaly in love with this city so I may be the perfect person to give you the right tips about Rio! During the week days I am busy with work but I can for example go for an early morning promenade in the beach and have the evenings free and also I am free on the weekends!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Always amaze me how a simple idea could just gather so many good people together :)

I hosted many people in my apartment and also was hosted a few times. On top of all I thing Couch surfing helps you get in touch with local people and others travellers while travelling (specialy when you travel alone).

What I like the most about traveling, maybe even more than meeting places is meeting the local people, and couchsurfing has been the perfect tool for me to acomplish it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been hosting and surfing for quite a few years now and not even once had a bad experience. Only very positive surprises :) > also I have been using the groups to gather people together in the places that I visit.

Interests

I like new things, new people. If you have some crazy plans for tonight, that kind of alternative that no one likes: a performance in a park, a concert of a band that no one knows: I'm probably in! :) Also contemporary art is a big passion, as is Big Bang Theory, making puppies out of ballons, playing card games ( and learning new ones), lifting beer glasses...

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Amelie, Laberinto del Fauno, Once, Mary Poppins... old walt disney movies...
Music keeps life flowing. Can make the difference in a day and bring sunshine to a cloudy day - so I use it and if's possible abuse it Every mood is a different tune.
I think I need more books in my life, but one international one that I love and read several times already is The Little Prince. Love it! All I had the chance to read Pablo Neruda and Gabriel Garcia Marquez also amuzed me

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I coordenated a public intervention with the signature of a Slovenian artist. We met in a festival I was working, and become good friends. We plan together to write his name (janez Jansa) with 140 umbrellas in Copacabana Beach. Was amazing. There is a pic in my album!
I took a break from all I had and went for a 6 month trip throughout south america and realized that sometime all you need can fit in a backpack and a hand full of friend, close or not :)

Teach, Learn, Share

teach: portuguese (?), card games, origami, how to make puppies shaped ballons, brazilian way of having fun, the importance of culture in our life, how to use brazilian's bad words properly - some people think it's easy;
Learn: all about it! Specially languages! I am particularly in love with spanish and trying very hard to learn french now
Share: all that I know

What I Can Share with Hosts

Other than my roof, I can share a bike (I have two), meals, talks :)
