ABOUT ME

Well, I always liked to feel like a foreigner, I don't know why. I already lived in London in the 90s and and in that time I felt very happy just walk in the streets anonymously and meet people from different parts of the world, each one with their own culture and using English or Spanish to know ourselves better. I was also married to a German guy and I always feel at home when I'm not home! Sometimes traveling alone can be very lonely and a local person always brings you a unique insight into an unknown place. That's why I believe so much in this project, which unites cool people around the globe. I had a serious illness recently and survive made ​​me see life differently. I would like to return to the world where I always felt welcomed. I hope next year to visit U.S. and maybe someone kind could show me NY and San Francisco, it would be great!

PHILOSOPHY

Friendship is the most important thing to me. I've got friends for 25 years! I keep them as a treasure and always arrange meetings, whatever they are. I love pets and have three lovely cats for more than 10 years. I also take care of my diet, i love food that makes me feel better, not just for the taste, but ethical matters too. And like to be in shape, love pilates and walking!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I live with my mother, and she's not well at the moment, i cant receive people to stay at my home, but I can be the perfect guide to show beaches, views, our food and artcraft!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I made my backpack trip to Europe in 1998, I stayed in the house of unknown people in Berlin, Lyon and Rome and in the house of two fellows from the college who was studying in Barcelona and Paris. It was so great! Only good memories of that lovely trip!

Interests

My trips was always cheap in money matters. I like to stay in hostels or people's places to know the region better and save money and travel more. I used to visit museums, parks, fairs, music places, concerts, pubs. Food, art, architecture, music and cinema are my passions!

Music, Movies, and Books

About movies, I like a good story of mistery, even horror movies, and those who show contemporary issues, as "Her". My favorite directors are Martin Scorcese, Woody Allen, Quentin Tarantino, Spike Jonze, Lars Von Trier, etc. About books, I love to read biographies, they show, beyon the life of a notorius person, a certain time in History, the way people have fun, get dressed, ate, it's enjoyable to know. in music, my favorite band in the moment is The Black Keys, I love rock, blues, jazz, some pop music as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was living in London I was in a session of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" with my boyfriend at the time. He was from Hungary. It was so amazing! I never forget that moment!

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I love to cook! I could teach some of our dishes and learn as well! I love to learn different techniques and flavours! I also speak English and miss a lot to practice with a native! I can teach Portuguese too. And to do a historical walk. See the History with our own eyes! What do you think about?!
