About Me

I sincerely think that life is awesome ! Because even bad things that happen to us teaches us something and we become even more stronger, experienced and more prepared to face another challenges! From the very childhood I like to solve different riddles and think of different solutions to problems, thats why I had chosen Software Engineer as my profession. Also I like challenges and different kind of self improvements.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to travel, because it's one of the best ways to get interesting experience by meeting new people from all over the world, share knowledge with them, get to know different cultures. Thats why I'm here :)

Interests

I'm very passionate about all kind of sport activities. My favourite activity definitely is rollerskating. I bring my skates almost at every trip. I think it's very good transport to travel fast through the cities. Also I like to solve different riddles, puzzles, etc., that's why playing and organising orienteering is a perfect activity for me.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are no music that I can't listen to, but I mostly prefer positive vibe music like uplifting chillstep or meditation music. Last good movies that I can remember watching - 3 Idiots, The Imitation Game, Coco, Ready Player One. About books - I read very slow, so I prefer to read short articles or listen to audio books, mostly something professional about software engineering or motivational workshops.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That was my first big solo trip round Europe. Once I took my rollerskates and bought ticket to Brussels from my home city (Vilnius) without return ticket and no plan. I had only one goal - to spend two weeks abroad and somehow get home safe :) During that trip I slept in parks, bus stations and sometimes airbnb listings. Travelled with trains, busses, hitchhiked and in the cities I travelled with my rollerskates. In two weeks I skated around 300km in Brussels, Amsterdam, Bremen, Berlin and Warsaw. And most valuable experience was to meet interesting and kind people :)

Teach, Learn, Share

One lesson I learned recently - if You want something bigger in your life - You have to become bigger than your fears. Fear shows us not only what we afraid of, but it often shows us our biggest desires :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Maybe there are things that you always wanted to do, but you are afraid of? We can do it together! Or at least I can help you to make one step closer to your dreams :)
