Hi I'm Renate and I'm currently 19 years old. I just ended my high school education and I'm planing on studying Aerospace Engineering, but for now I'm taking a gap year for traveling. Going on random adventures with friends or just alone is one of the things I enjoy most in life. From going on a bike ride without a destination to camping throughout Europe without a concrete plan, I always try to seek out the adventures of life. Besides seeking out fun stuff to do I also love to play and listen to music. At the moment I'm enjoying the company of my saxophone, but when I'm handed a piano or guitar it can make my day, no matter what. Besides this I can also enjoy a day of culture or just a walk around nature and of course a night out is always a good way to close my day. Oh and last I also enjoy sporting. I love discovering new sports and trying them out. Up to now I've mostly enjoyed longboarding, ice-hockey and snowboarding, but besides these sports I've also enjoyed playing rugby, hockey, soccer, tennis, lacrosse and the occasional squash. I'm not saying that I'm good at all of those sports but I do love to execute every one of them. So if you want to do any of those sports I'm always up for it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting new people is a sort of life adventure and that's why I would love to have someone on my couch or be on someones couch. Showing people around the city where I grew up and letting them see all the great places of nature and culture is also something that I can enjoy.
